In the world of TEDx, our highest honour is getting a talk promoted to the homepage of TED.com. It’s like winning an Oscar or BAFTA in TED world – and the speaker gets amazing worldwide exposure for their talk.
Four of the talks from March 2025 were elevated to TED’s homepage – it is the first time any single TEDx event has yielded so many TED.com talks. Wow!
To have four talks featured from one event is such an achievement and honour for TEDxManchester, the speakers, and our team – something worth celebrating!
Enjoy watching these four fabulous talks again:
Aime McNee, author of We Need Your Art, on “The Case for Making Art When the World is On Fire” –
Simona Francese, Sheffield Hallam University Professor, on “Could We Detect Breast Cancer with a Fingerprint?”
Carl Miller, host of 2024’s top-rated podcast (The Kill List), on “Inside a Dark Web Kill List”
Ilyena Hirskyj-Douglas, University of Glasgow Professor, on “What Happens When Your Dog Uses the Internet”
