Breaking Baking Boundaries

After appearing on the Great British Bakeoff, the UK’s most watched TV program in 2016, I started to notice increasingly interesting overlaps between the seemingly unrelated disciplines: baking and engineering. This started a journey of discovery for me that led to baking for royalty and producing and judging my own Netflix show.

In this talk I’ll explore my background of curiosity from a young age, talk about the novel things I’ve explored by looking at the intersection of creativity and the boundaries you can break down whilst doing it. I want the audience to leave thinking about the silos they can break down in their own lives and careers for a more fulfilled and inspiring life.

I’d also like to leave the audience with an illustration of what “bakineering” means to me.
